Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the JobsForYou — Job Match & Autofill browser extension and the JobsForYou service (jobalerts.swapp1990.org) do with your information. It applies to the extension and the website together.
What the extension does
JobsForYou helps you apply to jobs faster. On a job posting or application page you open, the extension can (1) read the visible job text to score how well your resume matches, and (2) fill the application form with details from your JobsForYou profile so you can review and submit them yourself. The extension never submits an application for you.
Information we process
- Profile and resume data you provide to JobsForYou — your name, email, phone, location, work authorization answers, and the resume file(s) you upload. These are used to score matches and to fill application fields.
- Job page content of the tab you are actively viewing — the job title, description, and company shown on the page — used to compute a match score for that role.
- Fill results — which fields were filled or skipped on an application — used to track your applications inside JobsForYou. Field values themselves stay on the page you are filling.
- Authentication token — a token from your signed-in JobsForYou session, stored locally by the extension so it can talk to the JobsForYou backend on your behalf.
How the extension accesses pages
The extension requests access to pages so it can detect job postings and application forms across the many different job boards and applicant-tracking systems (Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, and others). It only reads and fills the tab you are actively using, and only acts when you open the panel or click a button. It does not track your browsing history or run on pages unrelated to a job application you are working on.
How information is used
- To calculate resume-to-job match scores.
- To autofill application forms for your review.
- To keep a record of jobs you have applied to inside your JobsForYou account.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not submit applications automatically — you always review and submit.
- We do not collect data from pages that are not part of a job-application task you initiate.
Storage and retention
Profile, resume, and application data are stored in your JobsForYou account so the service can
function. The extension stores your session token and recent fill state locally in your browser
using chrome.storage. You can remove local extension data by removing the extension,
and you can request deletion of your JobsForYou account data by contacting us.
Third parties
Match scoring uses AI processing on the JobsForYou backend. We share data with infrastructure and AI processing providers only as needed to run the service, never for their own marketing.
